Dear Tiwa Savage, I’m A Bit Disappointed – Freeze Reacts To Her Interview

OAP Freeze has weighed in on Tiwa Savage’s tell-all interview where she revealed a lot of secrets about her marriage to TeeBillz..

He wrote

Dear Tiwa,

I have nothing but love for you, but after I watched all 45 mins or so of your interview, I am a bit disappointed.

Tiwa, I know it hurts when a relationship breaks down, and those accusations T Billz made were extremely hurtful, nonetheless, I believe you could have employed caution when responding, since according to you, he was unstable and suicidal.

In law, if for instance, you walk in on your man in bed with another woman and you shoot him on the spot, you could get a lighter sentence, if your legal counsel argues provocation.

On the flip side, if you walk out of the scene to get a gun and then launch an attack, it’s now considered premeditated.

The fact that you granted a ‘pitch perfect’ interview, with a flawless visual background and superb audio quality, in my opinion looks a bit premeditated.

If you had denied all his accusations and asked to swear on ayelala or amadioha or sango as against the lie detector test, since on no instance has a polygraph ever been used in Nigeria, and if afterwards you had requested for privacy, as you deal with such a sensitive issue, this matter would have been laid to rest.

How are you going to tell Nigerians not to talk about issues you ‘used your own hand’ to make public? This could only serve to further delay your healing.

Even though my prayer is for your issues to be resolved and for joy to return to your home, the breakdown of a marriage is not the end of the world, I have been through it and my world did not end.

However, do you realize that the interview you gave could lead to the end of TJ’s world? Who is now going to hire, work with, or have any business dealings with an unstable, adulterous, fraudulent, cocaine sniffer who cannot manage money and has his priorities misplaced? Whether you like it or not, that is what the interview has delineated him to be. In furtherance to this, if he was suicidal before, this interview is only going to make him even more suicidal!

I know you both love Jamil so in all this drama, lets be very careful to shield him, as the Internet never forgets and his friends and classmates will always have his father’s tweets along with your interview as points of reference.

Saraki to face fresh count of failure to declare card account

The Federal Government has again re-amended the charges preferred against the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, before the Code of Conduct Tribunal.
There have been two amendments of the original 13 counts which now brings the counts against the Senate President to 16.
The first amendment which brought in additional two counts  was made on April 18, 2016 while the latest made on April 27, 2016, added one fresh count.
The charges dated April 18 were withdrawn on Thursday.
The latest amendment was introduced by the prosecution  accepted by the tribunal chairman, Danladi Umar, after overruling the defence led by Mr. Paul Usoro (SAN), who argued that ‎the prosecution required a motion to give the reasons for the amendment before the tribunal could accept it.
‎The prosecution alleged in the latest count that on June 3, 2011, Saraki failed to declare his interest in “an American Express Service Card with No: 374588216836009 wherein you (Saraki) transferred huges sums of money in dollars from your Guaranty Trust Bank domiciliary account No 441441953210 in Nigeria to the American Express Service, Europe, whilst you Executive Governor of Kwara State.”
The offence is said to be contrary to section 15 of the Code of Conduct Bureau and Tribunal Act, CAP. C15, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004 and as incorporated under paragraph 11(1) and (2), Part I o the Fifth Schedule to the Constitution.
It is said to be punishable under section 23(2) of the Code of Conduct Bureau and Tribunal Act as incorporated under paragraph 18, Part I of the Fifth Schedule to the Constitution.
The charges will be read to the defendant who will plead either guilty or not guilty to it when the tribunal resumes from its break.
The defence will then continue the cross-examination of the first prosecution witness, Mr. Michael Wetkas.
Originally, the Federal Government preferred against Saraki,13 counts, including charges of false and anticipatory asset declaration, as well as operation of foreign accounts, which he allegedly committed while being Governor of Kwara State between 2003 and 2011.
The first amendment added two charges which, include allegation that Saraki continued to receive salary and emoluments as Governor of Kwara State after the expiration of his tenue and at the same time, from the Federal Government as a senator between June 2011 and October 2013.
The offence is said to be contrary to section 6(a) of the Code of Conduct Bureau and Tribunal Act. CAP. C15, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004 and as incorporated under paragraph 2(a), Part I of the Fifth Schedule to the Constitution.
It is said to be punishable under section 23(2) of the code of conduct bureau and tribunal act as incorporated under paragraph 18, Part I of the Fifth Schedule to the Constitution.
The other additional charge is that Saraki failed to declare to the Code of Conduct Bureau on assumption of office as Governor of Kwara State in 2003, his leasehold interest leasehold in the property at 42, Remi Fani Kayode Street, Ikeja, Lagos.
He was said to have acquired the property  in December 12, 1996 through his company, Skyview Properties Limited from First Finance trust Limited.
The offence is said to be contrary to section 15(1)(2) of the Code of Conduct Bureau and Tribunal Act, CAP.

Teebillz Attempts Suicide At Lekki-Toll Bridge - Eye Witness

When Teebillz shared his suicide note this morning on IG while pouring his heart out about the demise of his marriage to Tiwa Savage, many of us thought/hoped he was just talking, but he wasn't. Tunji 'Teebillz' Balogun tried to commit suicide this morning by jumping off the Lekki- Ikoyi toll bridge and this is fact!

According to an eye-witness named Chukwuma Ani, who witnessed the incident and was one of the men who pulled Teebillz off the bridge, he told LIB exclusively that around past 9 this morning while driving on the Lekki-Ikoyi toll bridge, a car hit his own from behind, damaging his car. He said he came out of the car and approached the driver of the vehicle that hit his. He didn't know who the man was (it was Teebillz) but he said he berated him for hitting his car and asked the man to come out and assess the damage caused to his car. The man looked at him and told him to leave...that he was there for a reason. That he was planning to commit suicide and Chukwuma Ani would hear about it later...

Not knowing who the guy was or understanding why he was talking suicide, Mr Ani said he kept insisting that the driver must come down from his car and see the damage he had caused to his car. He said he noticed alcohol on the floor of the driver's car so thought the man was drunk. He said while shouting and berating the driver for hitting his car, the guy just suddenly drove his car with speed to the front.

Ani said he got into his own car and gave chase and was surprised to see the driver of the car parking his car in the middle of the bridge as other cars drove past. He said he parked in front of the driver and approached the man again, telling him that he couldn't even apologize for hitting his car and was instead trying to drive off. He said as he was berating the man, he (Teebillz) got down from his car and walked to the bridge railing.

He said he stood there wondering what the driver was trying to do and it was at that point that two other cars approached them. He said as he was trying to figure out who the new comers were, Teebillz had moved to the bridge railing and was trying to jump. Mr. Ani said a light skinned guy came out from the first car and began running towards Teebillz screaming and that was when he realized what was going on..
"I thought I was watching a movie" Ani told LIB "the man held the railing and tried to jump over it and that was when the yellow man held him and started shouting for help. The two of them nearly fell into the water. I quickly joined the yellow man to pull the guy out and while we were struggling with him, one PSquare twin (Peter Okoye) and Banky W joined us to pull the man out " Ani said
LIB called Peter Okoye to confirm he was there but he refused to say anything "Even if I was there, I can't say anything about it" he said.

We hear Teebillz is doing okay now and is surrounded by family and friends. People need to take depression seriously in Nigeria - a lot of people are so depressed and struggling and don't usually have anywhere to turn to for help. Let's always lend a helping hand. Hope Teebillz gets better.

Cultists Attack Four Boys In Anambra For Refusing Initiation(graphic Pics)

A deadly suspected cult group have invaded Ezi-Umunya village of Anambra State. A reliable source revealed that four youths, Ekene Nweke, Ike Nwankwo, Anierobi Nwizu, Wilson Ikwuka from the community who were allegedly attacked by the ravaging cult group were said to have been lying critically ill in different hospitals.

The source said those attacked were left with various degrees of machete cuts while many who are said to be in the list of the attackers flee the community for fear of being killed.
It was gathered that the ravaging cultists, having failed to lure their victims and many other youths in Umunya community into their nefarious activities, ended up in slicing their victims with machetes and axes.

Reacting to the ugly development, the Caretaker Committee Chairman of Umunya town union, Mr. Obi Ezeana said the present attack came few weeks after the Anambra State government inaugurated a caretaker committee, charged with the responsibility of reconciling the warring parties in the area as well as conducting election into the town union executive.

According to him, the suspected cultists acted on the traditional ruler of Umunya Community, HRH, Igwe Chris Onyekwuluje.

"After our swearing in, I personally led eleven other members of the caretaker committee to the State Commissioner of Police and to the Divisional Police Officer, Nteje police division, SP Daniel Barnabas and pleaded with them to stop arresting members of the community pending the outcome of the peace crusade we have embarked upon.
Graphic photos below

"To my chagrin, we called the two factions of Ezi-Umunya village that were having problems over the election of village leadership for roundtable talks, aimed at restoring peace among warring factions, at the end of the meeting, policemen from Nteje police division stormed the venue of our meeting, arrested Ekene Nweke and detained him at the police station. It took me time to release him on bail and on his way home from the police station; he was attacked by the suspected cult group led by Samson Nwabude," Mr. Ezeana stated.

The victims, who reacted from their respective hospital beds, said the attack was as a result of their refusal to be initiated into the dreaded cult group led by Samson Nwabude. They however distanced the attack from the leadership crisis rocking the Ezi-Umunya village, stating that bringing in the crisis in their village leadership was a plot to distract the operations of the cult group allegedly sponsored by the traditional ruler of the community.

The Divisional Police Officer in charge of Nteje Police Division, SP, Daniel Barnabas confirmed the incident, saying his men on patrol rescued the first victim, Ekene Nweke.

Cultists Attack OPC Member For Sleeping With Stepmother Of Their Members (Photo)

Men suspected to be cult members have attacked and injured a 42-year-old man, Adewale Omotosho, a member of the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC), at Shimawa, Ogun State. Omotosho was accused of sleeping with the stepmother of some members of the cult group known as Golden Star.

It was gathered that about 10 suspected members of the group, led by the stepchildren of the woman, attacked the victim on Monday with dangerous weapons.
Omotosho said he and his wife went to a friend’s house in the community when he was attacked.

He said: “We were still waiting for the person we went to see, when the woman I was accused of sleeping with came without greeting me. I even joked with her when she did not greet me because she is the wife of a popular chief in the community.

“After I asked her why she did not greet me, she left. Immediately after that, I saw about 10 young boys, who are cult members in the community.

They pounced on me and beat me to stupor. They attacked me with machete and I sustained injuries. My wife was not also spared from the attack.

“I was still writhing in pain when some residents, who know me as a member of OPC, rushed to call my colleagues who came and took me to the health centre where I was treated.” Omotosho said the matter was reported at Ogijo Police Division, while some members of OPC were said to have sustained injuries when they tried to rescue their colleague from the cult members.

Among the OPC members, who sustained injuries, is Kehinde Anifowoshe. “My colleagues and I were trying to rescue Omotosho who was in pain, when the cult members, who had gone before, reinforced and started throwing stone and broken bottles at us.

I was trying to defend myself when the broken bottles hit my hand,” Anifowoshe said.

The Shimawa OPC Coordinator, Mr. Sunday Adeniji, said the allegation against Omotosho was a lie.

He said: “The different cult members in the community saw us as a thorn in their flesh, because we always frustrate their operation.

On a slightest provocation, they attack us in order to project us as a bad organisation in the community. “We are law-abiding citizens.

Immediately after the incident, we went to police station to report the matter because we are peace-loving group in the community.” When contacted, the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Muyiwa Adejobi, promised to get back to our correspondent.

4 Reasons Why Lil Kesh Should Have Remained With YBNL

There has been been so much hullabaloo on Lil Kesh leaving YBNL by the end of May. Some news site used the word dump others used even more appalling adjectives for this not so big of an issue. Then he dropped the bomb, he is indeed leaving.

First, lets understand what a record contract is. This is a legally binding contract between an artiste and the label where the said artistes makes records for the label to promote and sell. Now this contract has both exclusivity and territorial clauses in many, that is to say, such artiste can only record songs for the said label and if need be that another label needs the services of their artistes, this can only happen with the permission of the label.

Having said that, here are four reasons why I feel Lil Kesh should not have left YBNL .

           1. Loyalty: Like  I said earlier, friendship between label and their artistes is a very delicate one and with this first point, one would easily think this loyalty deals more with Lil Kesh but instead its more on Olamide’s part. We all can remember the embarrassing issue which happened at this year’s Headies awards, when Lil Kesh, who many believed should have won the next rated award was snubbed. The young man, in a very professional way congratulated the winner and sat down without much visible fuss until his boss took the stage and made the world know just how much he’s got his boy’s back. Can anyone really forget the in less than minutes trending words Olamide used on the stage? I doubt it.  Olamide, a young man himself, not caring whose ox is gored made his disappointment known, resulting in the  most talked about social media war of the year 2016. I mean who dares fight with Don Baba J, if not Baddo  himself. Yes, his loyalty for his boy was beyond comforting and I must say, I doubt there is any other label who would manifest such legendary and epic loyalty to Lil Kesh.
           2. Belief: In his new album, Lil Kesh said it himself, only Olamide believed in his music from the start. Olamide, saw the potential in him and took him up. He made is first single a Hit and did not stop there. Olamide made  sure for every single dropped, It was a hit back to back. How many labels can dare say there    artiste had hits  back to back? Except of cos for one (Story for another day). It is one thing to be signed unto a label who sees that a record or two can be made from you, it is another to have a label who believes in your passion, craft and person in general, and we all know what it means for a dad  to believe and even tell his son that he has so much faith and believe in him. Olamide, is the one boss I know will push Lil Kesh to the limit to ensure massive success.
          3. Fountain of creativity: Even as writers we get writers block, so does artistes. Him being among artistes     who sing his type of music is an extra point not to leave the label. Creativity being staunched will never happen for this young man should he stick with the right click which is the YBNL group. The influence of Olamide rubs off well on Lil Kesh and with the kind of music they both do, the sky is just the starting point for Mrmeyagi, should he remain with Olamide Baddo.
         4. consistency: Only Olamide will and can push Lil Kesh to drop songs consistently, so why not remain with the man who knows and understands the trade perfectly well. Consistency is the major key to having a wonderful music career and he is sure to get it with YBNL.
These are just my thoughts though, am certain both parties thought things through and came to their final decision.

Agree and have more reasons why Lil kesh should have remained with YBNL, let us know in the comment box.

lil Kesh finally leave YBNL Nation

Some days ago, it was reported that Lil Kesh is set to part ways with Olamide’s record label as his two year contract with the label had expired.

There was also a report that indicated that Lil Kesh is floating a label of his own named ‘YAGI’ Records and there is no bad blood between him and his former boss.

Lil Kesh just confirmed that although the YAGI Record Label rumour is true, YBNL remains his family and management for life.

Analyzing Olamide’s amazing grass to grace story

Many remember Olamide’s story because the rapper came from the very bottom in society and rose to the top of his game.

From the Bariga neighbourhood in Lagos, the young man born Olamide Adedeji hustled his way into several studios where he would hang with more established artistes until the music label Coded Tunes changed the game for him by providing support with which he released his debut album Rapsodi in 2011.

Under the tutelage of ID Cabasa at Coded Tunes, the aspiring musician was managed by Toni Payne. He also got guidance and support from Lord Of Ajasa and 9ice among others till he was strong enough to fly alone.

There are several key features that contributed to the success in Olamide also known as Baddo or Baddo Sneh, but the unmistakable thing is in his drive, persistence and the ability to move with the times.

By 2012, he left Cabasa and started his own movement with the record label YBNL Nation.
In 2015, the Shakiti Bobo crooner spoke to prolific filmmaker Tunde Kelani via his online TV channel explaining that his mentors in music include K1 De Ultimate, Sunny Ade, Jay Z and 2baba.

First a rapper, he has morphed his style to reflect the pop yearnings of the Nigerian consumer base which has seen him enjoy huge local and international following.

He followed this up closely with YBNL which he dropped under his record label YBNL in 2012. By 2013, he released Baddest Guy Ever Liveth and then Street OT in 2014 and Eyan Mayweather in 2015, a refreshing consistency that makes him the only Nigerian rapper to put out an album every year in the last five years.

His renown has been massive and it surprises him sometimes that he is even as successful as he currently is.

In January, 2016, he told Hip TV that he is grateful to God for the love he gets from the streets, the fans, a love so great money can’t even buy it.

He also talked about being as prolific as he is because of his street roots and influences, adding that in the streets there are no rules.

Armed with a sleek music style, a raw, edgy approach to recording and releasing and a keen business sense, Olamide has grown over the years to becoming one of the most sought after Nigerian artistes today.

He has also spread his reach by giving back to society in several ways, perhaps a reminder that he is still a part of them and a confirmation that he intends to make his overall brand appeal soar

In 2014, he signed up two artistes from the boisterous Bariga neighbourhood where he first was and from where he launched into international prominence.

By virtue of this gesture, Lil Kesh and Viktoh got into his YBNL Nation imprint and Kesh went on to enjoy multiple successes in the songs Shoki, Efejoku, Lyrically and Is It Because I Love You.

Now a star in his own right, speculations are starting to make the rounds that he is set to float his personal music label given he signed a two-year deal with Olamide in 2014. Both parties are yet to respond to the rumours but whatever the case, no one can deny Olamide’s contributions in the careers of Lil Kesh and the potential Viktoh.

DJ Enimoney who is Olamide’s brother has also enjoyed reasonable success as well as their in-house producer Young John.

He is young, driven and passionate about his music. He revealed to Hip TV in January 2016 that his passion is what’s gotten him this far, a passion that was there even before showbiz started paying off and all of that.

He is also close friends with fellow rapper Phyno, an artiste he has collaborated as well as released an album with.

The 27-year-old rapper continues to inspire millions of followers out there, little wonder he was publicly lashed for his infamous rants in January, 2016 after he protested the Headies awards for the category of Next Rated Artiste which was won by Mavin Records artiste Reekado Banks over Lil Kesh, Kiss Daniel and the rest.

Don Jazzy got up stage to receive an award of his and, having perceived Olamide’s rants as an affront on him and his team, gave a resounding response which set everything out of control and blotted the events in several ways, still it remains one of the editions to remember for several reasons.

The issue degenerated between both label heads and was fast becoming a factional contest in the streets given the rapper’s influence until billionaire industrialist Aliko Dangote reportedly stepped in and helped restore quiet between Don Jazzy and Olamide.

Blogger Laila Ijeoma broke the news stating that prior to the visit to Dangote’s house, Don Jazzy had remained livid and wasn’t speaking to anyone especially because Olamide had done the exact same thing at the 2014 edition of The Headies after Reekado Banks got the award for Rookie of the year.

Olamide had protested that Lil Kesh wasn’t nominated in that same category only to take things a step further this year as well as in a rather uncouth way.

“I’m told Jazzy has been angry since the incident happened, infact he wasn’t even talking to people. He was angry especially because Olamide did something similar last year when Reekado Banks got the Headies 2014 Rookie award.

PIC 1: Aliko Dangote, Olamide, Don Jazzy and Cecil Hammond. PIC 2: Don Jazzy and Olamide. Credit: Instagram
“Aliko Dangote stepped in for there to be peace. I’m also told that Olamide prostrated himself for Jazzy. Yes, my guy was shocked too when Olamide did that. All thanks to Dangote,” she wrotee
Everything soon settled before long with both stars apologizing for their actions and Olamide holding out the olive branch.

Though unexpected from an artiste of his level of recognition, the Lagos Boys singer doesn’t look like his fame is about to diminish anytime soon. In fact, he still represents major corporate brands in Nigeria and was the first Nigerian artiste to be endorsed by Ciroc.

Buhari, Saraki in fresh legal war

President Muhammadu Buhari  has been dragged before a Federal High Court sitting in Uyo by  four Akwa Ibom state-based legal practitioners.

President Buhari has been charged alongside leaders of the Nigerian parliament.
The president is to make appearance to answer for the non-appointment of an indigene of Akwa Ibom as Managing Director of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), after the sack of Bassey Dan-Abia midway into his four-year tenure.

Vanguard reports that other respondents in the suit are the Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami and acting Managing Director of NDDC, Mrs Ibim Semenitari.

The lawyers, Aniekan Akpan, Essien Obong, Akpadiaha Ebitu and Emmanuel Ukor, chairmen of Uyo, Ikot Ekpene, Eket and Oron branches of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, respectively described as unlawful, the appointment of a non-indigene of Akwa Ibom State after the termination of the appointment of immediate past Managing Director, Mr Dan Abia on December 21, 2015.

Citing relevant sections of the NDDC Act, the plaintiffs in the suit are, therefore, seeking a declaration “that the premature termination of Dan Abia’s appointment as MD of NDDC by the President before the end of the four-year tenure allocated to Akwa Ibom State is unlawful and a gross violation of the people’s right.

They are also asking the court to declare that “Semenetari’s appointment is illegal and a gross violation of the right of Akwa Ibom people, particularly lawyers of Akwa Ibom origin, and equally a violation of the principles of proportional sharing of bureaucratic offices as enshrined in the Federal Character Commission Act Cap F7 Law of the Federation of Nigeria 2004.”

The plaintiffs, who recalled that Dan Abia was appointed on December 3, 2013, urged the court to declare that Akwa Ibom is the legitimate state statutorily entitled to produce an “Acting” or ‘substantive’ Managing Director of NDDC presently to continue and complete the four years tenure of office allocated to the state by the rotation arrangement as enshrined in Sections 3 and 12(1)(d) of the NDDC Act.

They are praying the court to compel the President to terminate Semenitari’s appointment.

They are also seeking an order of the court compelling the President to “Immediately appoint any Akwa Ibom State indigene as “Acting” Managing Director or alternatively, the Managing Director of NDDC and present him to the National Assembly for confirmation to complete the four years tenure of office allocated to the state.

Meanwhile, the NDDC has revealed that the killing of two soldiers attached to Setraco Nigeria Limited, and the kidnapping of a Lebanese worker has stopped the development project in the Niger Delta region.

Mrs Ibim Semenitari, who is the acting managing director of the NDDC, said the kidnapped Lebanese man was working at the Ogbia–Nembe road project in Bayelsa state.

Ibim stressed that the development is unacceptable and must be condemned by all well-meaning members of the public, as well as all stakeholders in the Niger Delta region and beyond.

Two Brothers Beat Up Church Ushers Over Indecent Dressing In Lagos

Fight broke out between two brothers and church ushers who wanted to enforce the church rules on dressing during a Sunday service at a popular church in Isolo, Lagos state, southwest Nigeria.

During the fracas, two ushers were brutally battered and they suffered injuries.

P.M.NEWS gathered that the fight temporarily disorganized the service on that day before it was brought under control by the church security.

The incident happened at Living Christ Mission church located at disciple street in Aswani at Isolo.

The brothers, Chisom Alamduru and Victor Alamduru have been arrested and charged before Isolo Magistrate’s court for the allegedly assaulting their victims.

Ex-president Jonathan lists four legacies of his administration

Ex-president Goodluck Jonathan has listed some of the legacies he left behind when he was still in power.
The former Bayelsa state governor, who was ousted by President Muhammadu Buhari last year, has been tagged one of Nigeria’s most corrupt leaders, but in one of his meetings at the Mayor’s office in Newark, New Jersey, United States, the Otuoke-born Jonathan listed some of the legacies he left for the country.
Jonathan who spoke to Friends of Africa Coalition on “Strengthening Democracy and Elections” on Saturday, April 23, said the 2015 general elections in Nigeria had potential for major crisis.
According to This Day, he noted also that the campaigns leading to the elections almost polarised the country into Christian versus Muslims; north versus South divide.
“Some pundits even from here in the United States said that those elections would spell the end of Nigeria and that we would cease to exist as a nation because of the polls. That is where the leadership question comes into play.
“As a leader that was duly elected by the people, I considered the people’s interest first. How do I manage my people to avoid killings and destruction of properties? With the interest of the people propelling all the decisions I took, we were able to sail through.
“Indeed, we sailed through because I refused to interfere with the independence of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, having appointed a man I had never met in my life to run it.
My philosophy was simple. For elections to be credible, I as a leader, must value the process more than the product of the process. And the citizens must have confidence in the electoral body,” Jonathan stated.

He then went ahead to list some achievements of his administration thus:

1. Strict adherence to the rule of the law ensured that Nigeria’s peace, prosperity and progress were not derailed by the conduct and results of the 2015 elections.

2. I inherited a Nigeria in which the trains were not working, and handed over a Nigeria in which citizens can safely travel by trains again.

3. I inherited a Nigeria that was a net importer of cement, and handed over a Nigeria that is a net exporter of cement.

4. In 2009 the richest Nigerian was the 5th richest man in Africa, but I handed over a Nigeria that produced the richest man in Africa.

Adding: “These are but a few of the parameters that illustrate some of the economic transformations we engineered during my term in office.”
While he was listing his legacies in New Jersey, the former president was honoured by the cities of Antioch and Lathrop in California for promoting peace and democracy in Africa.
Premium Times reports that the award ceremony was held in Antioch, on Saturday, April 23.
In his speech, Wade Harper, the mayor of the city, expressed his admiration for Jonathan and declared that the city of Antioch was proud of his legacies.
He commended the former president for overseeing free, fair and conclusive elections and leaving the scene when the ovation was loudest.

Six houses burn as fire engulfs fuel station in Ondo state

– A fuel station in Ondo station has been engulfed by fire

– Six houses have been destroyed by the spreading flames

– No deaths has been recorded

About six houses have been burnt in an inferno that gutted a Mobil petrol station on Saturday evening in Igbokoda, headquarters of Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo state.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the fire which began at 7.30pm was as a result of a spark which emanated from a house beside the Mobil filling station.
It was gathered that no life was lost in the inferno, but the absence of a fire service station in the town worsened the situation. An eye witness, Prince Ayoola Odidiomo, said no life was lost in the fire outbreak, but that six houses were razed by the inferno.
“It was through the efforts of residents that the fire was put off to stop further wreckage.
“We saw the fire this evening burning the Mobil petrol station before we later discovered that the fire started from a house beside it, which was loaded with diesel.
“It was so sad that there is no fire service station here in Igbokoda, the headquarters of Ondo State Oil Producing Area Development Commission (OSOPADEC).
“We, the residents tried our best to put off the fire to stop further damage,” Odidiomo said.
Efforts by NAN to speak with the Igbokoda Divisional Police Officer, Mr Ifeanyi Godswillbproved abortive, as calls placed to his phone were not successful.
Meanwhile, 6 people have been reportedly killed and 15 vehicles burnt beyond recognition, following a fire outbreak at an NNPC accredited fuel station in Kaduna state.
It was gathered that the fire started at about 5:09pm and raged for over three hours. The assistant manager, Fasada Mega Filling Station, Alhaji Jibrin Musa, said on Sunday, April 24, that the incident happened on Saturday when one of the trucks was off-loading petrol.

six secondary school boys arrested in cult clash

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested six teenagers for alleged involvement in a cult clash in the Lagos Island area of the state.
We learnt that the six boys – whose ages ranged from 14 to 15 – were apprehended around Campos Square by policemen from the Lion Building division.
It was gathered that the boys, from whom the police recovered axes, knives and machetes, were allegedly going for a reprisal on a rival cult when they were rounded up.
The suspects – whose names were not disclosed by the police – were said to have been transferred to the State Department of Criminal Investigations, Yaba.
A police source at the SDCI said that the parents of the schoolboys had been invited, adding that the parents claimed they were unaware that their children were members of a cult.
He said, “The six suspects were lurking around the Campos Square, where the rival gang members were expected to pass. The oldest among them is 15 years. They started the cult war in January and it had been attacks and reprisals since then. When the police got the tip-off, the boys were arrested.
“Their matter has got to the Commissioner of Police. The CP wants us to adopt alternative dispute resolution because the boys are too small to be detained. The parents of the six have been invited and they all claimed that they did not know their children were in a cult. Although the boys were warned and granted bail, they have been given days to come back for inspection.”
The state Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, confirmed the incident.
He added that the new cults children on the Lagos Island were joining had been identified as Happiness and Owonikoko groups.
He said, “It is a disturbing trend and that is why the police want parents to be vigilant. The children, whose ages ranged from 13 to 15, got involved in street fights and cultism.
“As a result of their ages, we cannot reveal their identities to the public, but parents must be watchful how children sneak out of their presence, particularly in the evenings. Two groups, which these boys belonged to, have been identified. They are Happiness and Owonikoko groups.
“Therefore, when parents hear their children mention these names, they should know that their children are referring to cults.”
Meanwhile, the police from the Alagbado division on Friday arrested a suspected robber, Ojo Idowu, in the Oke Ola area while he was allegedly on an operation.
The police said one locally-made pistol and two cartridges were recovered from the suspect after a search.
Our correspondent gathered that Idowu, who was reported by one of his victims, had been transferred to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Ikeja.
The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Dolapo Badmos, confirmed the arrest, adding that investigation was ongoing into the matter.

Teenager kills landlady, daughter, grandchildren, reports to police

An 18-year-old man, identified simply as Sunday, is currently in the police custody in Abuja after he allegedly killed his parents’ landlady, identified only as Mama Moses.
The suspect was also accused of killing the landlady’s daughter and her three grandchildren.
It was gathered that the suspect, who lived with his parents in the landlady’s residence at Tudun-Fulani, in the Bwari area of the Federal Capital Territory, reported himself to the police after committing the crime.
PUNCH Metro gathered that Sunday locked the deceased in their apartment after they had slept in the night, sprayed the house with petrol and set it ablaze afterwards.
It was said that Sunday watched as the fire raged on and when he was sure that the victims were trapped, he headed for the Bwari Police Division.
The inferno reportedly lasted for hours before residents were able to put it out.
Charred remains of the five victims were eventually removed from the razed apartment and deposited in a morgue by the police.
Our correspondent gathered that Sunday’s mother had fled from the community.
Prior to the incident, which happened on Thursday, April 14, our correspondent learnt that there was a disagreement between the suspect and the landlady’s family members. He reportedly threatened to deal with them.
It was learnt that there was a relationship between the landlady’s daughter and Sunday, which broke recently.
The boy was said to have kept the family at arm’s length following the collapse of the relationship.
A police source told our correspondent that he and his colleagues were shocked when the suspect came to the station to report the matter.
He said, “Last Thursday, after the family members had gone to bed, the suspect locked their apartment’s door from outside, drenched the building with fuel and set the house ablaze. By the time the police got there, they had been burnt beyond recognition.
“I was told that he and the landlady’s daughter were dating each other until recently when their relationship turned sour. He had been transferred to another division for further investigation.”
A social media user posted on Nairaland.com that the incident happened not far from his residence in Sabon-Gari.
He said, “The incident started at about 11pm. There was confusion in the community. It was difficult for people to rescue the family because the fire was much.”
The Police Public Relations Officer in Abuja, ASP Anjuguri Manzah, confirmed the incident to PUNCH Metro, saying that the commissioner of police, FCT, had directed that the suspect be transferred to the Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for further investigation.
The PPRO added that Sunday would be charged to court upon the completion of the investigation.
He said, “Five persons were burnt to death in the incident; it was unfortunate. The CP has directed that the suspect should be transferred to the homicide section of CIID. Investigation is still ongoing and the suspect will be charged to court after the investigation. The corpses have been deposited in a mortuary.”

Is this a beef between olamide and CDQ?

After CDQ threw shades at his fellow indigenous rappers in the game Olamide & Reminisce with hisnpreviously released track “Talosobe” with a lyric line thatnsays “Ta lo so pe punch line o jawo mo?” meaning who say punch line doesn’t pay anymore, knowing so well that Olamide said punch line pays no more in a track from Reminisce titled Local Rapper..
Ever since then, there has been a negative vibe between Olamide & CDQ despite the fact they both work together on 2 different tracks of CDQ, Indomie & Woss Wobi. CDQ who seem to be new in the game show what some people might call act of an ingrate throwing such
shades at people whom he met in the game and might have assisted him in collaborations.         Hip hop game from history always attract beef as we have seen a lot from the past, we just wait for who to throw the first stone, CDQ has done that, Olamide might have replied in disguise with his recently released track “Eyan Mayweather” but it wasn’t direct. Olamide said ” Brother Saula, esa mi ” meaning Brother Saula Hail me and CDQ was the artist who released a track titled “Saula”. It is clear now that Olamide is taking the beef serious by not including the most expected artist on his concert, “OLIC 2” which has alot of artist, A list and under ground artist but CDQ is not included despite having 2 collaborations with Olamide.. now my question is..
IS THE BEEF REALLY ON? or is this
just a mere coincidence?
Have you ever wondered why CDQ name wasn't mentioned in Ybnl's hit track "Oya dab" wen Olamide was shouting out to other indigenous rappers and why is CDQ yet 2 record his own version of d trending track...."who u epp"??even wen other indigenous rappers have done theirs..

Is it just a mere coincidence? Your opinion plsease

tiwa savage: child birth almost change my sex life

Sensational singer, Tiwa Savage is certainly enjoying the joy of motherhood. Since she welcomed her tiny patter of tiny feet, Tiwa has been overjoyed and some might likely say she shifted all her attention to her tot, Jamal.

In fact, in a recent chat with Saturday Beats, Tiwa admitted she diverted attention to her child but then she didn’t allow the love she has for her husband, Ill Bliss to wane.

“Initially when I gave birth to my son, the attention naturally shifted to Jamal because he would always wake up every two hours as such, you have to give him all the attention. Child birth may make your sex life not to be interesting any longer and it may change your sex life. You may have stretch marks in places you don’t like but eventually for the sake of your marriage, I  would encourage every woman to look after their husband as well especially after having a child.

“My husband and I have always been very good friends before marriage and we are still good friends. You have to know that you are living for someone else in a marriage so you cannot make selfish decisions. For example, if I need to make any important decision in my life, I need to consult my husband because he is the head of the family. Ultimately, I need to give him that respect because he has the final say,” she said.

Tiwa said she cannot forget in a hurry a scary experience she had concerning her son.

“The scariest moment I have faced as a mother was when I was in the delivery room and the doctor told me that the heart rate of my child had dropped and they had to do a quick suction to get his heart beating again. My happiest moment as a mother was the first moment I saw my son in the hospital,” she said.

There were speculations that her fan base reduced drastically after her child birth. But she   shut down the allegation saying, “Numbers do not lie, since I gave birth, my Instagram followers have increased to about 1.4 million and I have 1.5 million followers on twitter. I would actually say that my baby has been a blessing to me. It has not been easy but I have a handsome son and I would do whatever it takes and make any sacrifice to give him the best and that is why I am working hard in my career,” she said.

Tiwa’s brief hiatus during her pregnancy and as a nursing mother, many would think, provided a vacuum that Jonny crooner, Yemi Alade, conveniently filled up. Now, Yemi is seen as one of Tiwa’s greatest rivals.

Tiwa explained that it is only natural for two successful people to be compared but she denied having any rift with Yemi.

She said, “I am aware about the comparison but it happens in any industry for artistes to be compared with their counterparts. We have the case of Davido and Wizkid, Beyonce and Rihanna, among others. It is just natural when you have two people doing great things. There is actually no beef between me and Yemi.

“I love what she is doing and she also loves what I am doing. We do not have any collaboration together now and we are not working on any project but if it happens, God willing, I would be happy to be a part of it.”

How long should sex last

many people would describe  sex as good, exciting, electrifying and refreshing, especially if done with consent and in a favourable atmosphere.

The benefits identified to be derivable from the exercise include improved immunity through the increase in the levels of immunoglobulin A; reduction of blood pressure;  a good form of exercise; reduces pain as well as brings about the release of feel good hormones; reduces stress and the likelihood of prostate cancer in men and improved bladder control in women.

Interestingly, the duration of the act may not really matter in determining whether the identified benefits would be derived from it or not, and according to experts, the duration does not even matter when it is done for procreation.

But findings have shown that longer sexual intercourse does not only boost a man’s ego, it helps him to enjoy the act the more. While for women, the longer the act, the more the likelihood of them reaching orgasm.

But the question is, How long should good sex last?

According to a study by two scientists, Eric Corty and Jenay Guardiani, from the Pennsylvania State University in the United States, good sex does not necessarily have to last for hours. In fact, they said it could last for minutes. In their post on sciencedaily.com, they noted that satisfactory sexual intercourse should actually be between three and 13 minutes.

The researchers involved 50 members of the Society for Sex Therapy and Research in the study, and these members include physicians, nurses, psychologists, marriage and family therapists and social workers who have attended to thousands of patients over several decades.

These participants categorised the time sex should last, according to experience, into four, namely too short, adequate, desirable and too long, and the measurement of the time starts from the penetration of the vagina to the actual ejaculation.

The experts categorised sexual intercourse that lasts between one and two minutes as “too short”. They said if it lasts between three to seven minutes, it is “adequate”, if it is between seven and 13 minutes, it is “desirable” while any romp in the sack that lasts between 10 and 30 minutes is deemed to be “too long.”

The researchers pointed out that people tend to judge their performance or that of their partner by the dictates from the society, and not what is okay for them.

They said, “A man’s or woman’s interpretation of his or her sexual functioning as well as the partner’s functioning relies on personal beliefs developed in part from society’s messages; formal and informal. Unfortunately, today’s popular culture has reinforced stereotypes about sexual activity. Many men and women seem to believe the fantasy model of large penises, rock-hard erections and all-night-long intercourse.”

Corty, who is an associate professor of psychology, said their survey would help to rekindle people’s confidence in themselves and trim down on their fantasies, noting that the situation at hand had made people to have unrealistic expectations.

He added, “This seems a situation ripe for disappointment and dissatisfaction. With this survey, we hope to dispel such fantasies and encourage men and women with realistic data about acceptable sexual intercourse, thus preventing sexual disappointments and dysfunctions.

“Also, if a patient is concerned about how long intercourse should last, these data can help shift the patient away from a concern about physical disorders and to be initially treated with counselling, instead of medicine.”

Meanwhile, another study by a psychologist, Dr. Brendan Zietsch, from the University of Queensland, Australia, sought to unravel how long penetrative sex should last. For the sake of avoiding complexities, he said given that there are many other activities that come before sex, like foreplay, the actual time of sex should also be when the man enters the woman. But, what did he arrive at?

Couple found dead in apartment in Ondo

A  man, Mr. Femi Oguntunwase,  and his wife, Modupe, were found dead in their house in the new site area of Oba Ile town in the Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State.

A source in the town said the cause of the death of the couple had yet to be known, adding that their lifeless bodies were found on the floor of the sitting room of their apartment on Saturday.

The source said the husband was on the ground naked, while the wife was also on the floor in a T-shirt and a wrapper with a bottle of palm oil beside them.

A resident of the area, who identified himself only as Seluwa, said the couple was seen in the morning of the day, adding that neighbours were surprised to find them dead in the afternoon.

She said, “We saw the husband in the morning, but in the afternoon, they were found dead.”

She explained that a bowl of pap and some akara balls were seen beside the deceased, which showed that they died after taking their breakfast.

It was gathered that when the neighbours entered into the apartment, palm oil was inside the deceased’s mouths, which indicated that they might have eaten poison and drunk palm oil to suppress it.

“There was palm oil in their mouths. It may be when they were having stomach pain that they drank the palm oil. We also discovered that the death happened after their breakfast.”

When contacted on the telephone on Wednesday, the Public Relations Officer of the state police command, Mr. Femi Joseph, confirmed the incident, saying the remains of the deceased  had been deposited at the Ondo State Specialists Hospital, Akure, the state capital.

He said the command had not made any arrest on the incident because it had not been established that the couple were killed.

He said, “We got the report of the incident on Saturday and we are still investigating to get to the cause of the death. The bodies have been deposited at the hospital for autopsy; it is after the autopsy that we will know the next step to take.”

Fake Ambodes attempt withdrawing N50m from LASG account April 21, 2016

Two artisans – Rilwanu Jamiu and Balogun Oyewole – have been nabbed for allegedly cloning the  mobile line of the Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, and attempting to withdraw N50m from the state government’s account.

It was gathered that the suspects, who claimed to be cocoa dealers, allegedly attempted to perfect a N50m transfer through the mobile line of the governor, which they had cloned.

An officer of the Department of State Services, Mr. Peter Okerinmodun, said, “The duo used the cloned mobile line of the governor to send a text message to the Accountant General of the state requesting a transfer of N50m.”

The officer stated that the ruse was, however, detected and the two men were arrested by the DSS, adding that others, who connived with them to commit the crime, were at large.

The artisans were arraigned on Wednesday before an Isolo Magistrate’s Court on two counts bordering on the alleged offence.

Okerinmodun, who was also the DSS prosecutor, told Chief Magistrate Adeola Adedayo that the suspects were arrested after using the cloned mobile line, but had yet to get the N50m.

The charges read, “That you, Rilwanu Jamiu of Giwa Street, Oka Akoko, Lagos, and Balogun Oyewole of Unity Street, Ikotun, Lagos, and others at large, on February 10, 2016, at about 10.02am, in the Lagos Magisterial District, conspired to commit felony to wit: obtaining by false pretences, thereby committing an offence punishable under Section 312 (2) and (3) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State.

“That you, Rilwanu Jamiu, and Balogun Oyewole, of the above named addresses, and others at large, on the same date, time and place, fraudulently cloned the Glo line of the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, with intent to induce him by false pretences, used the Glo line to send a text message for the transfer of a sum of N50m, thereby committing an offence punishable under Section 312 (2) and (3) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State.”

The accused pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The prosecutor asked that they be kept in protective custody pending the outcome of the legal advice of the Directorate of Public Prosecutions, pointing out that their lives could be endangered by other suspects who were on the run.

Adedayo, however, admitted them to bail in the sum of N1m each with two sureties each in like sum, adding that one of the sureties must be a religious or a community leader within the jurisdiction of the court, and that the accused must provide five years’ tax certificates.

She ordered the accused to be remanded in the Kirikiri Medium Prison pending the perfection of their bail, and adjourned the matter till May 10, 2016.

I didn’t want my parents to watch my sex role in Fifty –Mr. Nigeria

Emmanuel Ikubuese became popular when he won the Mr. Nigeria contest few years ago. But now, his popularity somewhat went a notch higher with his ‘sex’ role in Fifty, a Mo Abudu movie.

Of course, the sex scene he played in the movie got many buzzing with not a few people wondering aloud how Ikubuese could be so brazen in the movie.

Explaining his role, Ikubuese said it was it was a job and he had to do it very well.

“I see acting as an art and you need to prove yourself. The film does not have anything to do with our cultural values.  Fifty has a vision and the vision is not only to sell in Nigeria but an international vision to show the world.  I believe movie is about bringing life into an act.”

However, Ikubuese said he had hoped his parents didn’t get to watch the movie and see the role he played.

“Actually, I didn’t want them to see it, they always come out to watch my movies at the cinemas but I did not tell them about Fifty. But it was such a big movie so they were there to watch it,” he said.

The actor cum model also said he was paid handsomely for that role.

“I was paid a lot of money. If the movie is successful, do you think I won’t collect a lot of money?”

Meanwhile, the actor is also trying to make an impact with his Non Governmental Organisation, Emmanuel Ikibuese Foundation, which is cantered on training youths on how to avoid domestic violence in our society.

“We have gone to different states and schools, we recently went to the University of Lagos to educate our undergraduates on how to avoid domestic violence.  We are also working on a couple of programmes on how to eradicate the issue of domestic violence in our society,” he said.
